"Odd! There was an error" message

This message tends to result from proxy / firewalls, and antivirus / spyware-removal software. At this time, RockMelt does not support authenticated proxies but we're looking into this for future updates.


If you are not connecting to the internet from behind an authenticated proxy, please make sure:

1) You are connected to the internet

 

2) You can access facebook from your internet connection

 

3) You turn off any antivirus / spyware software temporarily, and configure your firewalls to allow RockMelt

 

 

If you're still having issues after doing the above, please email questions-at-rockmelt.com with the following:

 

1) Which OS and version you are using

 

2) The "rockmelt_debug.log" file located in the following areas.

 

 

If using Mac:

Click on your desktop > Press shift + cmd + G > type ~/Library in the Go To window -> Application Support -> RockMelt

 

If using Windows:

 

Win7/Vista: Start Menu -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RockMelt

 

WinXP: Start Menu -> Run -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\RockMelt
