RockMelt keeps crashing (on Windows)

Sorry you've encountered crashes while using RockMelt. To help us investigate, it would be really helpful if you can:

 

1.      What problem you're having and any details you remember (such as what action caused crashing and when it started happening)

2.      Email questions-at-rockmelt.com with what version Windows you're using

 

3.      Send us the "rockmelt_debug.log" file as an email attachment. You can find the file here:
 

Win 7 or Vista: Start Menu -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RockMelt\User Data

 

Win XP: Start Menu -> Run -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\RockMelt\User Data


4. Send us the “RockMelt-last.dmpfile as an email attachment. You can find the file here:
 

Win 7 or Vista: Start Menu -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RockMelt\CrashReports

 

Win XP: Start Menu -> Run -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\RockMelt\CrashReports

 

 

To stop RockMelt from crashing repeatedly

1)      Quit and shutdown RockMelt

 

2)      Uninstall RockMelt by going to Start -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall. Make sure you check the option to "Delete browsing data" when it comes up.

 

3)      Download and install another version of RockMelt from www.rockmelt.com –  all your bookmarks, apps, extensions, favorite friends, and bookmarks will all be recovered.

Note: If you get a spinner in the upper left hand corner and only have a few Apps show up in the App Edge, please click on RockMelt menu -> log out, then log back in from the menu again.
