Twitter App problems: not updating, show latest @mentions

Last Updated: Jan 04, 2012 02:07PM PST

If your Twitter App isn't updating, please try the following tips:

Solution 1.
Restart RockMelt and see if it works. If not, try Solution 2 below.

Solution 2.
1.   Clicking on "Show all apps" at the bottom of your App Edge
2.   Click on the "X" on your Twitter App
3.   Quit and restart RockMelt
4.   Go to twitter.com, and then click on "Show all apps" and add Twitter again (and login)

Solution 3.
Close RockMelt, then delete your user profile folder, which is a long string of numbers (like 100235990184) located in the areas below:

Mac:
Click on your desktop > Press shift + cmd + G > type ~/Library in the Go To window -> Application Support -> RockMelt

Win 7 or Vista: Start Menu -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RockMelt\User Data, then look for the user profile folder with ######s

Win XP: Start Menu -> Run -> then copy and paste in: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\RockMelt\User Data, then look for the user profile folder with ######s

Solution 4.
If the above solutions don't work, please help us by emailing questions-at-rockmelt.com with the following:

1. The problem you're having

2. The version of RockMelt you're using (Open RockMelt, then click on RockMelt menu in the top left, and select "About RockMelt")

3. What OS and version you're using (which Mac OS X or which version of Windows)

4. Attach a list of your RockMelt extensions pasted into a word processor file with images:

  • Type in about:flags into the main URL bar
  • Look for the "Internal extension debugging" option, and Enable it
  • Type in rockmelt://extensions into the main URL bar, and click on the "Developer mode" option in the top right
  • Copy everything on the screen by pressing cmd + A (mac) or Ctrl + A (windows), and then cmd + C (Mac) or ctrl + C (Win)
  • Paste everything into a word processing document and make sure images are included too

5. Type rockmelt://extensions into the URL bar and please do the following:

  • Look for "Data Pump" and then click on "background.html"
  • In the new window that pops ups, please click on "Console" at the top menu
  • Copy and paste everything you see on the screen - please maximize the window and make sure you select everything (scrolling is usually required even though a scroll bar may not appear on the right side)

Thanks for your help!
